About Cowboy Wildlife Photography
Born and raised in the coastal mountains of British Columbia, Jeff Simms has had a close connection with the wilderness his entire life.
Whether it be floating down the Atnarko River with the grizzlies, or leading a string of pack horses through the mountains,
Jeff has spent his most enjoyable years outdoors. Growing up in cowboy country, Jeff developed an early love for horses.
Jeff has spent countless summers on horseback exploring the vast wilderness surrounding him, when he wasn’t busy riding in the British Columbia Rodeo Circuit.
Jeff eventually traded in his spurs for a camera, and has found himself an exciting and fulfilling career in wildlife photography. His love for nature combined with his inside knowledge of British Columbia's wild has proven invaluable as he continues his pursuit of capturing Nature at its finest.
Jeff and Krista enjoy capturing the world around them on film. While you can see that our collection includes images from overseas locations such as Africa and Australia, we pride ourselves with the images captured directly in our own backyard - including Whistler, Pemberton Valley and the rest of British Columbia.

To compliment his photography, Jeff builds custom frames made out of natural logs from British Columbia. The natural log and wood pictures frames are custom crafted for his own photography that provide a true impression of Beautiful British Columbia (and beyond!).
